The Gallatin National Forest's Rendezvous Ski Trails offer a beautiful setting for cross country skiing. The trailhead starts right in West Yellowstone, Montana at the intersection of Geyser Street and Obsidian Avenue. From there, skiiers can select from over 30 km of trails that are professionally groomed daily for skating and classic skiing. These trails are open from December 1st through March 30th. The high elevation of the area allows for plenty of snow and the trails range from easy to difficult. Skiers are charged $5.00 for a day pass, $25.00 for an individual season pass, and $50.00 for a family season pass. Passes are available for sale at the Hebgen Lake Ranger District Office, the West Yellowstone Chamber of Commerce, and several ski shops here in West Yellowstone.
